Supreme Court Takes Up Valdez Case

The California Supreme Court has agreed to a request from the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board and the defense bar to review a lower court's ruling. The case is Valdez v. Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board/Warehouse Demo Services. The case revolves around the introduction and use of self-procured (by the applicant) reports from physicians outside of an employer’s properly established medical provider network.
